If you’re still getting an error that says “Cannot load joystick2.mfx. This object might need an external program or library not yet installed.” download the XINPUT1_3.DLL installer made specifically for this problem. No need to fiddle with anything in it, it will install the two versions of the DLL in their proper folders. Just make sure you pick the proper bit version.
